PSX turns bearish, loses 1,551 points

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Mar, 2026) The benchmark KSE-100 Index of the pakistan stock exchange (PSX) turn around to bearish trend on Thursday, losing 1,551.88 points, a negative change of 1.01 percent, closing at 152,740.38 points compared to 154,292.26 points on the previous trading day, according to psx data.

During the session, the ready market recorded a trading volume of 326.636 million shares with a traded value of Rs 19.399 billion, against 397.465 million shares valuing Rs 22.352 billion in the previous session. Market capitalization decreased to Rs 17.067 trillion from Rs 17.254 trillion a day earlier.

Out of 474 active companies in the ready market, 153 advanced, 261 declined, and 60 remained unchanged.

Wasl Mobility topped the volume chart with 40.

359 million shares, followed by B.O. Punjab XD with 22.784 million shares and First National Equities with 22.028 million shares.

The top gainers included Supernet Technologies Limited, which rose by Rs 115.51 to close at Rs 1,379.35, and Blessed Textiles Limited, which gained Rs 69.52 to settle at Rs 764.67.

On the losing side, Sazgar Engineering Works Limited declined by Rs 44.46 to close at Rs 1,811.95, while Hoechst Pakistan Limited fell by Rs 38.24 to close at Rs 3,953.19.

In the futures market, turnover stood at 68.090 million shares with a traded value of Rs 3.635 billion, compared to 107.911 million shares worth Rs 6.497 billion in the previous session.

Out of 316 futures-market companies, 47 recorded gains, while 267 declined and 2 remained unchanged.
