PSO pump sealed on Murree road Abbottabad over gauge shortage

The district administration Abbottabad on Tuesday has intensified inspections of petrol pumps to ensure implementation of government-notified fuel prices, and sealed a PSO petrol pump on Murree Road over a shortage in the fuel gauge during an ongoing crackdown

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Mar, 2026) The district administration Abbottabad on Tuesday has intensified inspections of petrol pumps to ensure implementation of government-notified fuel prices, and sealed a PSO petrol pump on Murree Road over a shortage in the fuel gauge during an ongoing crackdown.

According to the latest rates issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the price of petrol in Abbottabad has been set at Rs324.72, Rs324.39 and Rs324.04 per litre, and authorities are ensuring strict compliance with these rates.

During an inspection drive, Additional Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Tariq sealed a Pakistan State Oil (PSO) petrol pump on Murree Road after detecting a shortage in the fuel gauge.

Meanwhile, Tehsildar Abbottabad conducted inspections of petrol pumps in the Mangal and Qalandarabad areas to check compliance with official regulations.

Officials are also checking displayed price lists, fuel measuring gauges and available fuel stock at petrol pumps during the inspections to prevent overcharging and other irregularities.

The district administration has stated that such actions will continue to ensure the supply of petrol to citizens at officially notified prices and to maintain transparency in fuel sales across the district.
