Precious government land reterieved in Dera

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Jul, 2026) The district administration has continued its crackdown on illegal encroachments, retrieving 18 marlas of government land worth an estimated Rs27 million during an operation in the Muryali area.

According to the administration, the operation was supervised by Assistant Commissioner Dr. Muhammad Hamid Siddiq.

The anti-encroachment drive targeted illegal structures and obstructions along the stretch from Attock petrol pump to Bilal Abad Street in Mauza Muryali.

During the operation, the anti-encroachment team removed goods displayed outside shops, unauthorized sheds, ramps, and other encroachments built on government land.

According to the district administration, the recovered land has an estimated market value of approximately Rs27 million.

Several shopkeepers voluntarily removed their encroachments after being instructed by the administration, while the remaining illegal structures were dismantled by the enforcement teams on the spot.

Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Commissioner Dr. Muhammad Hamid Siddiq said the district administration would continue indiscriminate action against encroachments to protect public property, restore public passageways, and ensure orderly urban development.

He urged traders and residents to cooperate with the administration by voluntarily removing encroachments, saying that people cooperation was essential to making the city cleaner, safer, and more organized.
