PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Jul, 2026) Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi on Wednesday distributed appointment letters to 4,306 newly recruited police constables, marking the completion of recruitment across all eight divisions of the province.
According to a statement issued by the Chief Minister's House, the recruitment is a significant step towards strengthening the manpower and operational capacity of the KP Police.
Addressing the ceremony, the CM congratulated the recruits and urged them to uphold the principles of merit, integrity and honesty throughout their professional careers.
He said the provincial government was committed to ensuring merit and transparency.
He described the KP Police, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and Special Branch as among the country's finest law enforcement institutions due to their professionalism and dedication.
Sohail Afridi said the new recruits were joining a force with a proud history of courage and sacrifice, stressing that they must preserve its honour, dignity and traditions.

The CM urged the constables to remain steadfast in the discharge of their duties, resist any form of pressure or interference, and make the elimination of crime and terrorism their top priority.
He reaffirmed the government's resolve to continue the fight against terrorism until lasting peace is fully restored.
He also advised the recruits to serve the public with courtesy, respect and fairness, saying these qualities define a professional police officer.
He assured them of the provincial government's continued support for the police force at every level.
Welcoming the induction of women constables, the CM said the government was taking effective measures to empower women.
He added that women would receive equal opportunities under internship programmes, interest-free loan schemes and other government initiatives.
