PPP south Punjab grieved at Ayatalloh Ali Khamenei martyrdom

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Mar, 2026) Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) South Punjab leaders have expressed deep sorrow over martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei, during recent U.S. and Israeli attacks on Tehran.

In a joint statement issued here on Tuesday, PPP South Punjab President and former Governor Punjab, Makhdoom Syed Ahmed Mahmood, Senior Vice President Khawaja Rizwan Alam, and Chief Coordinator Abdul Qadir Shaheen said party workers and office-bearers were “deeply shocked and grieved” by the killing of Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei.

They extended heartfelt condolences to the Iranian nation and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family, including his daughter and other relatives who were also martyred in the attack.

The PPP leaders described Ayatollah Khamenei as a towering figure in the contemporary Muslim world whose leadership shaped Iran’s political and ideological direction for more than three decades. They noted that his life was dedicated to safeguarding Iran’s independence and the principles of the Islamic Revolution.

The statement added that his martyrdom during the holy month of Ramadan had plunged millions across the Muslim world into mourning.
