Police recover Rs58,000 in pending e-Challan dues from defaulter

VEHARI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Jul, 2026) Police in Vehari district, under Multan Region, recovered outstanding Safe City e-challan dues of Rs58,000 from a defaulter following a prompt response to an alert.

According to details, Head Constable Muhammad Javed (10150/HC), deployed at Pakhi Mor police post, received information during routine patrolling from the Safe City Authority Lahore (042-9907000) that a motorcycle bearing registration ALK-5446, against which e-challans worth Rs58,000 were pending, was travelling from Vehari towards Sahiwal.

On receiving the information, police set up a checkpoint at Adda Pakhi Mor and successfully intercepted the suspect motorcycle.

The rider was identified as Muhammad Mushtaq son of Muhammad Hussain, resident of 90/9-L, Sahiwal.

Police said the rider paid the entire outstanding amount on the spot through a PSID issued by the Safe City Authority Lahore. The motorcycle was released after payment was verified, in line with the authority's instructions.

Police urged citizens to comply with traffic laws and clear their pending e-challans in time, warning that legal action would be taken against those who fail to do so.
