FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Mar, 2026) The police paid tribute to Shaheed Inspector Iftikhar Ahmad on his death anniversary as a contingent of Lundianwala police station presented a salute at his grave and offered prayers for elevation of his ranks.
Police spokesman Tariq Jutt said that police officers and personnel visited the grave of the martyred inspector, laid floral wreaths and prayed for the departed soul while reaffirming their commitment to follow the path of courage and sacrifice set by police martyrs.
He said that Inspector Iftikhar Ahmad had embraced martyrdom 18 years ago while bravely fighting armed robbers during an encounter in Lahore district.
His sacrifice remained a symbol of dedication and bravery in the line of duty, he added.
In his message on the occasion, City Police Officer (CPO) Sahibzada Bilal Umar said that the sacrifices of police martyrs would always be remembered and honored. The courage and devotion of martyrs have played a vital role in safeguarding future of the society, he added.
He said that welfare and support of families and children of the martyrs is top responsibility of the police department. All available resources would be utilized to ensure wellbeing of martyrs’ families and serving personnel, he added.
