Police nab 2 robbers, recover Rs 5 Million, weapons

ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) The police on Thursday arrested two alleged members of a suspected dacoit gang and recovered Rs 5 million in cash along with weapons, in an ongoing anti-crime campaign.

According to police officials, the operation was carried out on the directives of District Police Officer (DPO), Sardar Mavarhan Khan.

A team from Pindigheb police station, led by Station House Officer Malik Munawar, conducted a targeted raid that resulted in the arrest of two suspects identified as Shiraz Khan and Abdul Hameed.

They said the suspects were taken into custody .

The police sources added that both individuals had prior criminal records and were wanted in multiple robbery cases as proclaimed offenders.

Commending the operation, DPO Khan reiterated that ensuring the safety of citizens and protecting their property remained a top priority.

He added that law enforcement agencies would continue to take decisive action against criminal elements across the district.
