Police launches major crackdown against drug dealers in Nawabshah

NAWABSHAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2026) Police have launched a major crackdown against drug dealers in Nawabshah, achieving a significant success.

According to details, on the directives of Senior Superintendent of Police Shaheed Benazirabad, Sameer Noor Channa, a joint operation was conducted by B-Section Police Station and the CIA Nawabshah. During the operation, a notorious drug dealer and main supplier, Zakir Baloch, was arrested.

Police officials said that the suspect was wanted by law enforcement agencies for a long time and was involved in supplying narcotics in various parts of the city. Acting on a tip-off, the police adopted a strategic approach and managed to arrest the accused red-handed.

Authorities said that the arrested suspect was playing a key role in pushing younger generation towards drug addiction, and multiple complaints had been received against him in this regard. SSP Sameer Noor Channa appreciated the police team for successful operation and reiterated that actions against drug dealers would continue across the district, with no leniency for anti-social elements. According to the police spokesperson, further operations are underway and raids are being conducted to arrest other suspects.
