FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Mar, 2026) The police have distributed ration among transgender persons, differently-abled individuals and underprivileged women in a gesture of inclusivity ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr 2026 in Faisalabad.
Police spokesman said here on Tuesday that acting on the directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Sahibzada Bilal Umar, the ASP Gulberg Agha Fasih-ur-Rehman led the distribution drive at a Khidmat Markaz where essential food items were handed over to deserving individuals. Incharge Tahaffuz Markaz Inspector Madiha Irshad, Incharge Khidmat Markaz Muneeb Gillani and other staff members were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, ASP Gulberg extended Eid greetings to the beneficiaries and said that the spirit of Eid called for compassion and support for all segments of the society particularly the vulnerable.
“We cannot overlook our brothers and sisters from any community during such occasions”, he remarked, adding that Faisalabad police stood with the citizens in their moments of joy.
The ASP also conveyed a message from the CPO that the police department shared in the happiness of citizens and remained committed to public service beyond its law enforcement responsibilities.
The recipients including transgender persons and women expressed gratitude for timely assistance and appreciated the welfare-oriented initiatives of police department. They termed the effort a meaningful step towards social inclusion and community support.
