Police Chief convenes key security meetings to strengthen law and order

KOHAT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Mar, 2026) District Police Officer (DPO), Shehbaz Elahi on Thursday convened an important meeting with police to review overall security situation in the district in light of prevailing situation.

The meeting was attended by all DSPs and SPs and discussed law and order, security arrangements, and police performance in detail.

During the meeting, the DPO directed to utilize all available resources to further strengthen security across the district.

He emphasized enhanced vigilance at sensitive locations, places of worship, imambargahs, and public gathering points.

The DPO also directed to increase patrolling at checkpoints to ensure timely response to any

untoward incident.

Shehbaz Elahi instructed police to intensify operations against criminal elements, drug traffickers, and proclaimed offenders and stressing that the protection of citizens’ lives and property must

remain the foremost priority.

He urged officers and personnel to discharge their duties with honesty and professionalism to reinforce

public trust in the police force.

The meeting also reviewed the performance of various police stations, ongoing security plans, and future strategies.

The DPO reiterated that the police would remain fully alert to maintain peace and not allow

anyone to take the law into their own hands.
