Police arrest 23 outlaws in week-long crackdown

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Apr, 2026) Police in Sargodha arrested 223 proclaimed offenders and habitual criminals during a week-long district-wide crackdown,the DPO office said in a press release on Monday.

According to police,the operations were conducted on special directives of District Police Officer(DPO) Muhammad Sohaib Ashraf targeting criminal elements across various parts of the district to maintain law and order.

Officials said the arrested individuals included 13 Category-A proclaimed offenders involved in serious crimes,106 Category-B offenders and 104 habitual criminals.

All suspects were shifted to respective police stations after legal proceedings were initiated against them.

DPO Muhammad Sohaib Ashraf reiterated that the crackdown against criminal elements would continue without discrimination until the district was cleared of such networks.

He said protection of citizens’ lives and property remained the top priority, adding that there was “no space for criminals” in the district.
