NAWABSHAH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th May, 2026) On the directives of SSP Sameer Noor Channa, district police launched a crackdown against drug dealers, resulting in the arrest of 14 suspects and recovery of a significant quantity of narcotics.

According to police officials, the campaign was initiated to eliminate the menace of drugs and protect youth from its harmful effects. Acting oninstructions, police teams carried out successful raids within the jurisdictions of A Section, B Section, Airport, Taluka Nawabshah, Jam Datar, Sath Mile, Sakrand, and Bandhi police stations. The arrested suspects have been identified as Salman Sheikh, Shehzad Sheikh, Aamir Masih, Noor Nabi Brohi, Abdul Manan Jamali, Raza Waheed Malik, Muhammad Bilal alias Mullan Taliban Rajput, Asif Ali Jamali, Shamsuddin Rind, Javed Ali Rind, Shaman Ali Shah, Shiva Oad, Qamar Brohi, and Abdul Kareem Sethar.

Police recovered large quantity of narcotics from their possession, including hazardous Z-21 gutka (mainpuri supari), charas, and bhang. Cases have been registered against all the accused under Narcotics Act at the respective police stations, and further investigations are underway.

SSP Sameer Noor Channa said that drug dealers are enemies of society and that the ongoing campaign against them will be intensified. He emphasized that no leniency will be shown to anyone involved in drug trade in Shaheed Benazirabad.
