PML-N parliamentary board meeting decides candidates for AJK elections

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th May, 2026) A meeting of the parliamentary board of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) was held on Friday under the chairmanship of party president Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

According to a press release issued here, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, decisions were taken regarding the party’s candidates for the upcoming elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Members of the parliamentary board include Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Pervaiz Rashid, Rana Sanaullah, Engineer Amir Muqam, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Anusha Rahman, Captain (R) Muhammad Safdar Awan and Barjees Tahir.

Other members of the board include Shah Ghulam Qadir, Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan, Mushtaq Minhas, Chaudhry Muhammad Saeed, and Chaudhry Tariq Farooq.

Dr Najeeb Naqi Khan, Barrister Iftikhar Gillani, and Chaudhry Abdul Rehman also participated in the meeting.
