PM Shehbaz extends Eid Greetings to military leadership, pays tribute to Armed Forces

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th May, 2026) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday telephoned Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar and Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf to convey Eid-ul-Azha greetings and commend the armed forces for their services and sacrifices in defence of the country.

The prime minister paid tribute to the professional capabilities of the armed forces and their unwavering commitment to national security, a Prime Minister's Office news release said.

He said the nation was proud of its brave soldiers and the steadfast dedication and sacrifices rendered by the armed forces of Pakistan for the defence of the motherland.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also offered prayers for the country’s security, development and prosperity, while paying special homage to officers and personnel performing their duties during Eid-ul-Azha to safeguard the nation.

The chief of defence forces and the services chiefs thanked the prime minister for his Eid greetings and good wishes, and prayed for peace, prosperity and happiness for the premier and the people of Pakistan.

They also reaffirmed the resolve that the armed forces of Pakistan remain fully prepared at all times to defend and protect the country.
