Plan finalized to ensure cleanliness during Eid

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th May, 2026) Water and Sanitation Services Companies (WSSCs), Tehsil Municipal Administrations (TMAs) and Village Councils have finalized comprehensive plans to ensure cleanliness and sanitation services across the province during Eid-ul-Azha.

Local Government Department has cancelled leaves of sanitation staff and completed preparations at regional, district, tehsil and village council levels. Around 50,000 tons of sacrificial animal waste were expected to be generated across the province during the three-day of Eid. Special collection points has been established from where offal and solid waste would be transported directly to designated dumping sites for safe disposal.

A workforce of 17,782 sanitation workers and officials had been deployed to carry out cleanliness operations while 5,698 vehicles and sanitation machinery units would remain on duty throughout the Eid holidays.

Meanwhile, people have been urged to play their part in keeping their neighborhood clean and to support local authorities in making the province’s Eid cleanliness campaign a success.
