District administration finalizes Eid arrangements at Badshahi Mosque

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th May, 2026) The Lahore district administration finalized special arrangements for Eid-ul-Adza prayers and public facilitation at Badshahi Mosque and Eidgah on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Lahore Cap. (retd) Muhammad Ali Ejaz.

Assistant Commissioner City Babar Ali Rai reviewed arrangements along with officials of all relevant departments during a detailed visit to the mosque and surrounding areas.

According to the administration, Eid-ul-Azha prayers at Badshahi Mosque would be offered at 8:00 am.

Teams of Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) would wash the inner portions of the mosque with rose water, while special staff had been deployed for deep cleaning of the outer premises.

Officials said parking arrangements at the rear side of the mosque would be managed jointly by the Parks Department and Lahore Traffic Police to ensure smooth traffic flow during Eid prayers.

Teams of Metropolitan Corporation Lahore and the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) had also been mobilized to remove banners and encroachments from the surrounding areas.

All relevant departments had been placed on high alert, while a comprehensive parking and traffic management plan had been finalized for the convenience of worshippers.

The district administration said modern machinery would be utilized to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation around the mosque and Eidgah.

The DC directed officials to ensure exemplary arrangements at the historic mosque and provide a clean and pleasant environment to citizens during Eid-ul-Azha.

He also instructed all departments to work in coordination for public facilitation and ensure that the surroundings of the mosque remained free from encroachments.

The deputy commissioner warned that strict action would be taken against officials showing negligence in the discharge of their duties.
