PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jun, 2026) A post-budget seminar for members of the Provincial Assembly was organized by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly at the Old Jirga Hall here on Monday.
The seminar was held in collaboration with the Pakistan Institute of Parliamentary Services (PIPS) and the Centre for Peace and Development Initiative (CPDI).
The Primary objective of the seminar was to enhance the capacity of Members of the Provincial Assembly in the areas of budget formulation, public financial management, development planning, investment, budget analysis, and effective parliamentary oversight.
During the seminar, experts delivered comprehensive presentations on Pakistan's budget-making process, the public financial management system, resource allocation, development priorities, and the role of legislators in budget scrutiny and oversight.

Members of the Provincial Assembly actively participated in the seminar, demonstrating keen interest throughout the proceedings.
They engaged with the experts through interactive discussions, raised questions on various technical aspects of the budget, and exchanged views on strengthening parliamentary oversight of public finances.
The participants described the training programme as highly beneficial for enhancing their capacity to effectively perform their legislative and oversight responsibilities in the public interest.
