Pickpockets emptied pockets of more than 6,000 citizens this year

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Apr, 2026) During this year, 6,066 citizens were affected in pick-pocketing incidents across the city, with the highest number of incidents occurring within the limits of 1270 City Division.

According to police records, this year, City Division topped the list with 1270 pick pocketing cases, while Saddar Division came in second with 1268 pick pocketing incidents.

As many as 1086 cases were registered in Model Town Division, 1010 in Cantt. Division, 796 cases in Iqbal Town Division, while 576 pick pocketing incidents were reported in Civil Lines Division this year.

Police officials said that most of the incidents took place in crowded places, shrines, markets, bus stops and funerals.
