People demand govt to reopen Post Office in Gandakha

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Mar, 2026) People of Gandakha on Tuesday demanded the Balochistan Government to take measures to reopen Post Office service in the area due to the closure of the its office in Gandakha people are facing severe difficulties.

According to a press release, local people appealed to the Balochistan government, the provincial minister of the constituency Sardar Faisal Khan Jamali, the Chief Secretary Balochistan and Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ramzan to take immediate notice and take practical steps to reopen the post office in Gandakha.

The residents of the area said that Gandakha is a large tehsil of the district, but due to the closure of the post office here since last year, the people are deprived of basic facilities.

According to the citizens, having a post office is very important for the delivery of official letters, applications, documents and other important mail.

They said that the closure of the post office has not only affected government affairs but has also had a negative impact on the future of students and youth.
