KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has imposed a two-year ban on Zimbabwe fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani for withdrawing from the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
According to the PCB, Muzarabani violated his contractual obligations after signing with the PSL but subsequently opting to participate in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The board emphasized that professional cricket is built on trust and the sanctity of agreements. It stated that participation in franchise leagues requires transparency, consistency, and adherence to commitments.
The PCB further noted that the decision to impose the ban was necessary to protect the professional integrity of the PSL.
It underscored the importance of honoring contracts, adding that the conduct of players and their agents must align with the standards and reputation of the tournament.
