ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th May, 2026) Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL), in collaboration with the American Institute of Pakistan Studies, has hosted a one-day seminar titled “Iqbal and the Politics of Cultural Heritage.”
The event was held at the academy’s conference hall, according to a press release issued on Tuesday.
Renowned writer, folklorist, sociologist and cultural expert Uxi Mufti attended the event as a chief guest, while Executive Director of Lok Virsa, Dr Muhammad Waqas Saleem, was the guest of honour.
Notable speakers included poet and writer Dr Fauzia Sahar Malik, Najia Irum, Shazia Mumtaz and Dr Chaman Hussain, who presented insightful papers on Allama Iqbal, concepts of culture and civilization, and linguistic politics.
At the conclusion of the seminar, bouquets and shields were presented to the guests.
