The Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has said Pakistan is not symbolically, but is practically in a state of war against cross-border terrorists

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Feb, 2026) The Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has said Pakistan is not symbolically, but is practically in a state of war against cross-border terrorists.

Talking to the media at an Iftar event at Rawal House here on Friday, he praised the Pakistan Army for responding to Afghanistan's unprovoked aggression with full might and courage.

He stated that the army had delivered a strong response to the Taliban regime in Afghanistan. He added that the entire nation and Pakistan’s leadership stand firmly with the armed forces.

Memon paid tribute to the Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Gen Asim Munir, and said the whole nation was proud of the bravery and sacrifices of the army under his leadership.

He further said that the Afghan regime had forgotten Pakistan’s decades long support and help, preferring to become a proxy of India instead of remaining grateful.

He alleged that elements of the Afghan Taliban were involved in terrorist activities inside Pakistan, which the country would not tolerate.

The senior minister emphasized that safeguarding Pakistan’s borders and its people remained the top priority, and that operations against terrorists would continue.

Referring to the iftar event, Memon said that such gatherings were not meant for political rhetoric, but to engage directly with the public and to listen to their concerns.
