QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd May, 2026) Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti announced that the government’s education reforms are producing tangible results, with more than 717,000 children enrolled in public schools across the province over the past two years.
According to the Chief Minister, the reforms have led to a 5 percent reduction in dropout rates and an 11 percent increase in student retention, reflecting growing public confidence in government policies. He highlighted that 3,778 previously non-functional schools have been restored, enabling thousands of children, especially in remote areas, to rejoin the education system.
In a message shared on social media platform X, CM Bugti emphasized that quality education is the key to ending Balochistan’s backwardness, securing the future of its youth, and ensuring sustainable development.

To strengthen accountability, a monitoring system has been introduced to ensure teacher attendance, school functionality, and improvement in educational standards. CM Sarfraz Bugti reaffirmed his commitment to introducing further reforms and building a modern education system aligned with contemporary needs, so that Balochistan’s youth can play a meaningful role in national progress.
