Over 1100-foot pipeline installation work completed at Nishtar Road

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) Work on a key sewerage infrastructure project in Multan was in progress with rapid pace in line with Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision of ensuring modern sewerage system and a cleaner Punjab.

The development work continued under the Punjab Development Program (PDP), with multiple uplift projects in the city.

Acting Managing Director Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Multan, Zeeshan Shaukat Gondal, visited the ongoing construction site at Nishtar road to review progress.

During his visit, the MD inspected work carried out during the day shift and was briefed in detail by Deputy Director Engineering, Rana Muhammad Akram, on the pace and quality of execution.

According to officials, a major sewerage line measuring over 3,000 feet with a diameter of 24 inches was being laid at Nishtar Road. So far, more than 1,100 feet of pipeline has been installed.

Expressing concern over timelines, the acting MD directed the contractor to further accelerate the pace of work while strictly maintaining quality standards. He emphasized that all development sites must operate in both day and night shifts to ensure timely completion of projects.

Highlighting the importance of worker and public safety, Gondal reiterated a zero-tolerance policy toward any negligence in safety measures at construction sites.
