On order of Federal Ombudsman, Imran Shah provides relief of Rs. 94. 373 in electricity bill

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Jul, 2026) The Federal Ombudsman’s Regional Office Quetta issued orders to Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) that the petitioner’s electricity bill would be corrected immediately and addressed the problems of him.

The petitioner Syed Imran Shah said that he received an unfair electricity bill from QESCO.

He contacted the concerned department several times to correct the bill, but he was not heard.

Therefore, to seek justice, he approached the Federal Ombudsman’s Regional Office Quetta and filed a petition against the concerned department.

As soon as the petition was received, the Federal Ombudsman Regional Office Quetta initiated a timely inquiry and summoned the concerned department and started an immediate hearing of the case.

During the hearing, the concerned department could not provide any satisfactory response.

Therefore, the Federal Ombudsman issued orders that the petitioner’s electricity bill would be corrected immediately.

Upon receipt of the orders, the concerned department corrected the petitioner's electricity bill, resulting in a relief of Rs. 94,373 in the electricity bill to the petitioner.

The petitioner thanked the Federal Ombudsman for this timely and fair decision.
