Acting President Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani holds meetings at Aiwan-e-Sadr

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Jul, 2026) Acting President Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Tuesday held separate meetings with religious, political and literary personalities at Aiwan-e-Sadr.

Among those who called on the Acting President were Shahzada Murad Nazir, of Darbar Mohra Sharif, Murree, former MPA Mian Jhangir Pirzada Bhutta, Mr Faisal Sakhi Butt and Rao Waqas, a press release issued by the President House Media Wing said.

Mr. Gilani also met poet Mr Rahman Faras, who presented copies of his books to him. The Acting President appreciated his literary contributions and wished him continued success.

During the meetings, matters of mutual interest, the overall national situation and issues relating to public welfare came under discussion.

Yousuf Raza Gilani also referred to the forthcoming visit of the Secretary General of the Muslim World League (Rabita-e-Alam-e-Islami), Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, later this week. He expressed the confidence that the visit would further strengthen efforts to promote interfaith harmony and tolerance in the country.
