ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Feb, 2026) The intervention of Federal Ombudsman Ejaz Ahmad Qureshi, led to the payment of Rs. 95,016 in pending pension
arrears to the daughter of a deceased WAPDA employee from Mansehra, which had been withheld for the past
four years.
According to a press release, the complainant had filed a complaint against Peshawar Electric Supply Company
at the Federal Ombudsman’s regional office in Abbottabad regarding non-payment of six months’ pension arrears.
After reviewing the case, the Ombudsman Office issued orders for payment, and the department released the
outstanding amount of Rs95,016 through a cheque.
Speaking on the occasion, Advisor Incharge Rashid Ahmad said the Federal Ombudsman ensures prompt and
free resolution of public complaints and provides relief to citizens.
