Newly elected Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Amjad Hussain Advocate to take oath on Monday

GILGIT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Jul, 2026) Newly elected Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, Amjad Hussain Advocate, will take the oath of office on Monday in Gilgit. Governor Syed Mehdi Shah will administer the oath at an official ceremony.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, along with several senior party leaders, arrived in Gilgit on Sunday to attend the oath-taking ceremony.

A large number of political leaders, government officials, and dignitaries are also expected to participate in the event.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister-elect Amjad Hussain Advocate has extended a public invitation, encouraging the people of Gilgit-Baltistan to attend the ceremony and be part of this significant democratic occasion.

All arrangements for the oath-taking ceremony have been finalized.
