New Deans, ORIC Director Appointed at MUET

Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) has issued notifications for the appointment of deans in two key faculties

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) has issued notifications for the appointment of deans in two key faculties.

According to the notification, Prof. Dr. Rizwan Ali Memon has been reappointed as Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering, while Syed Feroz Ali Shah has been appointed as Dean of the Faculty of Science, Technology and Humanities for a period of three years by the Chief Minister Sindh.

A university spokesperson confirmed that both deans have assumed charge and formally started performing their duties.

In another significant appointment, Prof. Dr. Sheeraz Memon from the Department of Environmental Engineering has been appointed as Director of the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) at the university.

The university administration expressed confidence that these appointments will help further improve academic, research and administrative affairs at the institution.
