The protesting municipal workers were warned to continue the protest and sit-in until salaries and pensions are released.
The workers protested that the vehicles of the Capital Metropolitan are in the possession of unrelated officers, which is sheer injustice, saying the employees are protesting for salaries and pensions, but unrelated officers are enjoying the assets of the Metropolitan.
Later, the administration held a meeting with the union officials and the Director General (DG) of the Capital Metropolitan Government, who said that he had paid all available in advance of salaries and was awaiting a grant for more funds. He assured that the remaining salaries will be released as soon as they receive more funds.
