Multan's infrastructure transformation gains momentum

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Jul, 2026) Multan's infrastructure transformation is gathering significant momentum as the district administration accelerates work on major development projects under the special directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr. Muhammad Faisal Saleem chaired a meeting to review the progress of ongoing development schemes. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance) Mohsin Nisar and senior officials from the relevant departments attended the meeting and received detailed briefings on the status of key projects.

The Deputy Commissioner said the Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif is giving special attention to upgrading Multan's infrastructure.

He noted that multi-billion-rupee development works on Qila Kohna, Brand Road and Multan Avenue are progressing at a rapid pace.

He added that the upgradation of Nishtar Road and Hussain Agahi would be completed at the earliest to improve traffic flow and provide better civic facilities to residents.

Dr. Faisal Saleem directed all concerned departments to ensure strict monitoring and timely completion of development projects so that the public could benefit from the improved infrastructure without delay.
