Multan division outplays Lahore in railway kabaddi clash

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2026) Pakistan Railways Multan Division on Friday defeated Lahore Division 33–21 in a thrilling kabaddi match held at the Railway Sports Ground,displaying impressive teamwork and strategy.

Despite Lahore Division’s reputation as one of the strongest sides in the country,the hosts dominated proceedings with coordinated play and determined defending to secure a convincing win.

Local players showcased remarkable synergy outclassing their opponents in both raids and tackles to clinch victory.

The triumph comes shortly after another sporting success for Multan Division,whose wrestling team recently defeated Pakistan Army in a separate competition.

Divisional Superintendent Railways Multan Division Mohammad Hanif attended the match as chief guest.

Among those present were Divisional Sports Officer Osama Gujjar,APO Zeeshan Zaidi,Sports In-charge Lahore Division Nadeem Iqbal and other railway officials from both divisions.

At the end of the match,prizes and shields were distributed among the winning players.

Speaking on the occasion,Hanif urged the youth to spend more time in playgrounds rather than on social media, emphasizing that sports play a vital role in building a healthy and strong society.

Officials also reiterated their commitment to promoting sports within the department.
