FAISALABAD/CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Jun, 2026) Federal Minister for board of Investment Qaiser Ahmad Sheikh on Friday said that the
supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and the martyrs of Karbala will continue
to serve as an eternal message of truth, justice and steadfastness
for the Muslim Ummah.
Addressing a large gathering in Chiniot attended by political and social leaders, religious scholars
and devotees, the federal minister said that the tragedy of Karbala was not merely a defining
chapter of Islamic history but a timeless lesson for humanity to stand firmly against oppression,
tyranny and falsehood.
He said that the supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) has demonstrated that no
sacrifice is too great for the protection of faith, the supremacy of truth and adherence
to principles.
Qaiser Sheikh said that the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and Ahl-e-Bait had
taught Muslim Ummah that a true believer always upheld truth and righteousness instead
of submitting to injustice.
He said that message of Karbala embodied the enduring values of dignity, freedom, patience,
perseverance, selflessness and sacrifice, which would continue to illuminate
the path of humanity.
Referring to contemporary global challenges, the minister urged Muslims to embrace the teachings
of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) by promoting unity, tolerance, mutual respect and steadfastness.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>He said that Muharram conveyed a message of unity, harmony and mutual respect rather than
sectarian division. The people should translate the teachings of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA)
and the true spirit of Karbala into their daily lives to strengthen peace, love, tolerance and
national cohesion, he added.
He paid tribute to the organizers, religious scholars and community leaders for ensuring that Muharram
programs were conducted in an organized, peaceful and dignified manner.
Highlighting the government's development agenda, he said that special attention was being given to improving civic infrastructure in Chiniot, including better basic amenities, construction and rehabilitation of road networks and other public development projects.
He said that the government was also expediting work on the FIEDMC Industrial Zone project, the country's second-largest industrial zone, which would attract investment, generate employment opportunities for youth and further strengthen the local economy.
The minister reaffirmed his commitment to serve people of Chiniot and said that provision of quality education and healthcare remained among his foremost priorities.
He assured the people that his office would remain accessible to everyone without discrimination and every effort would be made to resolve their genuine problems.
Later, the minister also prayed for peace, stability, economic prosperity and progress of the country.
