Mourning processions of 7th Muharram concludes peacefully in DI Khan

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jun, 2026) The main Alam-o-Zuljanah procession held in connection with the 7th of Muharram concluded peacefully in Dera Ismail Khan under stringent security arrangements.

According to details, the procession commenced from Jamia Masjid Latu-Faqir and proceeded along its designated route before reaching Imambargah Haider Shah Shirazi.

After completing the scheduled route, the procession returned to Jamia Masjid Latu-Faqir, where it concluded peacefully.

During the procession, mourners participated in traditional mourning rituals, including noha recitation and matam (chest beating).

To ensure the safety of mourners and maintain law and order, heavy police deployment remained in place throughout the procession.
