DC Jamshoro reviews arrangements for Muharram processioni Inspects DHQ hospital

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jun, 2026) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Jamshoro Ghazanfar Ali Qadri reviewed in detail the arrangements for the main mourning procession from the main Imambargah in Jamshoro on the occasion of 7th Muharram-ul-Haram. Assistant Commissioner Kotri, DSP Kotri and other concerned officers accompanied him during the visit.

According to a handout, the DC met the procession organizers and received a detailed briefing on security, sanitation, traffic management, provision of clean drinking water, medical facilities and other arrangements.

He directed the relevant officers to ensure the provision of all possible facilities to mourners during Muharram-ul-Haram and emphasized that security and all administrative arrangements should be made effective and well-coordinated.

Ghazanfar Ali Qadri made it clear that any negligence or laxity in the discharge of public service duties would not be tolerated.

Later, he paid a surprise visit to DHQ Hospital Kotri, where he inspected the emergency department, various wards and a special ward established in connection with Muharram-ul-Haram.

During the visit, he inquired after patients undergoing treatment at the hospital and sought feedback regarding the medical facilities being provided.

He instructed the hospital administration to keep emergency and all other healthcare services fully operational during Muharram-ul-Haram to ensure uninterrupted provision of quality medical care and treatment facilities to patients and mourners.

Assistant Commissioner Kotri Ayaz Ali, Medical Superintendent DHQ Hospital Kotri Dr. Barkat Ali Laghari and other concerned officials were also present on the occasion.
