ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th May, 2026) More than 7,000 police officers and personnel are performing security and traffic duties in different areas of the city during Eid holidays.
Dupty Inspector General of Police (DIG) Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Qazi Ali Raza and other senior officers on Wednesday remained present in the field on Eid-ul-Adha to personally monitor security and policing arrangements across the Federal capital.
An official told APP on Wednesday that strict security arrangements had been implemented at checkposts, recreational spots and other important public places to ensure protection of citizens during Eid celebrations.
Special pickets had also been established at entry and exit points of the city for effective checking, while all patrolling units remained fully active and continued effective patrolling throughout Islamabad.

He said strict action would be taken against one-wheeling, hooliganism and other unlawful activities during Eid holidays.
The official said parks across the capital had been declared family parks and entry of irrelevant individuals had been restricted to maintain a peaceful environment for families.
Jawad Tariq said Islamabad Police officers were performing their duties with dedication and spirit of public service to ensure peaceful Eid celebrations across the federal capital.
