Modern intelligence system vital for crime prevention: DIG Hazara

ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Hazara, Nasir Mehmood Satti, has emphasized that a modern and effective intelligence system is essential for curbing crime and maintaining law and order, stating that timely and accurate information plays a key role in protecting lives and property.

He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony held at the Police school of Intelligence Abbottabad, as the chief guest. The event was organized in honour of police officers who successfully completed the 97th Basic Intelligence Course.

DIG Hazara distributed certificates among 25 officers from various regions of the province and congratulated them on their achievement. He underscored the importance of continuous professional training, adding that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police is taking all possible steps to equip its officers and personnel along modern lines.

Director School of Intelligence, Arif Javed, welcomed the chief guest and briefed him on the institution’s professional performance. DIG Hazara encouraged the officers to utilize the knowledge gained during the course in their practical duties and contribute positively to the police department.

He also advised them to submit feedback in the form of reports regarding the benefits of the training in their professional lives and to provide suggestions for further improvement.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Director Arif Javed presented a commemorative shield to DIG Hazara. Later, the DIG visited different sections of the institution and reviewed its facilities in detail.
