Modern insulated power lines being installed across Lahore, Says LESCO

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has accelerated the installation of modern electrical infrastructure in various parts of Lahore to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the monsoon season.

According to official sources, modern insulated conductors were being laid in Jail Road, Lawrence Road, Shadman, and adjoining areas at a cost of millions of rupees.

The initiative aims to significantly reduce power tripping and technical faults during rainfall.

Officials said the installation of insulated conductors would help maintain electricity supply even if tree branches come into contact with wires during storms. The upgraded system is also expected to prevent short circuits and unnecessary tripping.

LESCO’s Construction Circle has started laying electrical lines in accordance with modern technical standards to minimize load shedding and reduce technical disruptions during the monsoon season.
