Modern cattle sale facilities to be ensured: DC

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th May, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Nadeem Nasir said that the district administration would establish organized cattle sale points with modern facilities for traders and buyers during Eid-ul-Azha while strictly banning the sale and purchase of sacrificial animals inside the city limits to ensure cleanliness and order.

Chairing a meeting regarding the establishment of Eid cattle sale points, he said that in light of the Punjab government’s directives, Model Cattle Market would remain operational while additional temporary sale points would also be set up outside the city.

He said that the objective of establishing designated sale points was to provide maximum facilitation to citizens as well as cattle traders during Eid-ul-Azha.

He said that proposed locations for temporary sale points include Sargodha Road, Jhang Road and Millat Road, adding that no sale or purchase of sacrificial animals would be allowed at any place other than the notified points.
