MNA Sheikh Aftab Ahmed inaugurates Eidgah-cum-Janazgah in Hazro

ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd May, 2026) Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Member National Assembly Sheikh Aftab Ahmed has said that the real purpose of politics is public service and the PML-N has always given priority to resolving public issues and providing basic facilities to the people.

He expressed these views while addressing a large public gathering after inaugurating the Eidgah-cum-Janazgah constructed at a cost of millions of rupees in Hazro. PML-N Hazro Tehsil President Malik Ansar Ahmed, Mir Naveed, City President Haji Ehsan Khan, Tariq Javed and Umar Khan also addressed the gathering.

The public meeting was arranged by Talal Ashraf Butt, Haji Ehsan Khan and other local leaders. Dr Muhammad Ashraf Butt, Sheikh Shahid Mehmood, Sheikh Ajmal Mehmood, Khawaja Seth, Nizarat Hussain and a large number of PML-N workers, local notables and citizens were also present on the occasion.

Sheikh Aftab said that Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif made Pakistan a nuclear power, which made the country’s defence invincible. He said the government, despite all challenges, was making sincere efforts to resolve public problems.

He said a beautiful Eidgah-cum-Janazgah had been constructed for the people of Hazro city, while the boundary wall of the graveyard had also been completed.

He added that electricity and Sui gas had been provided in different areas of Hazro tehsil to extend urban-like facilities to rural populations.

The MNA said carpeted roads had been constructed for the beautification of Hazro city, while several other development projects had also been completed. He said efforts were underway, in collaboration with Jahangir Khanzada, to resolve the problems of the people of Hazro tehsil.

He said more than Rs3 billion had been approved by Jahangir Khanzada for improving Hazro city’s drainage system, and work on the important project had already started.

Aftab said development work was continuing in Hazro, Attock and Hassanabdal tehsils, adding that public welfare projects would be completed on a priority basis. On the occasion, he also announced the construction of Janazgahs in nearby villages Kalu Kalan and Burhan.

The citizens of Hazro thanked Sheikh Aftab Ahmed for constructing the beautiful Eidgah-cum-Janazgah and appreciated the ongoing development work in the area.
