MNA Jamal Raisani condemns tragic incident of throwing acid on Lady doctor

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Jun, 2026) Member of National Assembly (MNA) Nawabzada Jamal Khan Raisani strongly condemned the tragic incident of throwing acid on a lady doctor at the Civil Hospital in Quetta on Monday.

Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Nawabzada Jamal said that this is a brutal, cowardly and intolerable crime, which is not worth condemning no matter how much it is condemned.

In his statement, he said that targeting our daughters and sisters is not only a serious criminal act but also an attack on our social, moral and human values saying that elements that create an environment of violence, fear and insecurity against women would not deserve any concession.

Nawabzada Jamal Khan Raisani expressed his best wishes for the speedy recovery of the affected lady doctor and expressed his full sympathy and solidarity with her family.

He commended the prompt action of the Balochistan Police after the incident and the access to the accused adding that crimes against women are a source of shame for any civilized society.

The MNA said that indiscriminate and strict action against such elements is inevitable so that they could be made an example of and ensure the protection of women, provision of justice and the rule of law in the society.
