Minister urges pilgrims to maintain discipline, observe health precautions

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf on Sunday urged Pakistani pilgrims to act as ambassadors of the country by maintaining exemplary conduct during Hajj and strictly adhering to the regulations set by the Saudi government.

The minister, in a special video message aired on ptv news, called upon Pakistani pilgrims to demonstrate patience, unity, brotherhood, and respect for Saudi laws during Hajj while remembering Pakistan in their prayers.

On behalf of the government and people of Pakistan, Yousaf extended heartfelt wishes to the pilgrims and urged them to strictly follow the instructions and regulations issued by the Saudi authorities.

He further advised pilgrims to remain patient during the extreme heat and rush of Hajj gatherings, urging them to take special care of their health and ensure adequate water intake to avoid dehydration and exhaustion.

The minister also asked pilgrims to stay in close coordination with the medical teams deployed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony for timely assistance and healthcare support during the

pilgrimage.

He also praised the exemplary arrangements made by the Saudi government for Hajj this year, particularly the enhanced facilities and improved services provided for the comfort and convenience of pilgrims from around the

world.

The minister appreciated the Saudi authorities for their effective management, better accommodation, transportation, healthcare, and crowd-control measures, saying these efforts would help ensure a smooth and spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage experience for all worshippers.

The minister concluded by praying for the smooth and safe return of all Pakistani pilgrims after the completion of Hajj, hoping they would return with a spiritually fulfilling experience and blessings.

He also reiterated his expectation that the pilgrims would serve as a positive reflection of Pakistan by maintaining exemplary conduct, discipline and the true spirit of Hajj throughout their journey.
