MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Mar, 2026) In a major effort to control prices of fruits and vegetables during Eid-ul-Fitr, the district administration
has launched a comprehensive crackdown across the city. Price control magistrates conducted intensive inspections in markets, penalizing several shopkeepers for overcharging.
At Imtiaz Mega Store, authorities imposed a fine of PKR 300,000 for violating prescribed rates. Assistant Commissioner Saddar, Waqas Zafar, personally inspected multiple markets and stores, ensuring strict compliance
with price regulations.
The deputy commissioner emphasized that a zero-tolerance policy has been implemented to ensure the supply of quality products at fixed rates during the Eid holidays.
