March 23 is historic day in national history:DSO

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Mar, 2026) District Sports Officer (DSO) Saima Manzoor on Monday said that March 23, 1940, remains a significant milestone in Pakistan’s history, when the Muslims of the subcontinent passed the Pakistan Resolution to achieve a separate homeland.

Talking to APP, the DSO stated that the day reminds the nation of the enduring sacrifices, determination, and struggle of the forefathers. She said that Pakistan Day teaches an important lesson: success is certain when a nation strives unitedly for a common goal.

She emphasized that citizens should renew their pledge to play a full role in the development, prosperity, and stability of Pakistan.

DSO Saima Manzoor further added that the younger generation, especially athletes in the region, are a valuable asset for the country. She noted that sports not only improve physical health but also instill qualities such as discipline, tolerance, and teamwork, which are essential for building a strong nation.

She urged the youth to bring pride to Pakistan in the field of sports and concluded by calling upon everyone to dedicate their energies to making Pakistan a strong, prosperous, and developed country.
