Man shot dead during alleged robbery attempt in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) A man was shot dead during an alleged robbery incident inside a general store at Adiala Road here Thursday.

According to Rescue 1122 spokesperson, an emergency call was received regarding a gunshot incident at general store.

The Rescue 1122 dispatched two vehicles, including an ambulance to the scene.

Eyewitnesses stated that the victim was shot during resistance to the robbery attempt at the store.

He died on the spot due to bullet injuries. The deceased was identified as Abdul Malik, 30. Later, the body was shifted for necessary legal formalities. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
