Man arrested for aerial firing in Gizri Area

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Mar, 2026) Police have arrested a suspect involved in an incident of aerial firing in the Gizri area, officials said on Monday.

The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Gizri Police Station, where the resorted to aerial firing and fled the scene in a vehicle.

Acting on strict directives of SSP District South Mehzor Ali, the SHO Gizri, along with a police team, launched an immediate operation.

Using CCTV footage and modern investigative techniques, the police succeeded in apprehending the suspect after sustained efforts.

The arrested accused was identified as Nasir Khan, son of Juma Gul.

Police said a 9mm pistol used in the firing, along with three live rounds and the vehicle used in the escape, had been recovered from the suspect’s possession.

A case has been registered against the accused at Gizri Police Station and further investigation is underway.
