Livestock director reviews Eid arrangements at Jhang cattle market

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) Director Livestock Dr Haidar Ali Khan on Sunday visited the Model Cattle Market in Jhang and the temporary sale point at 18-Hazari to review arrangements ahead of Eid-ul-Azha and inspect veterinary facilities for traders and buyers.

During the visit, \he inspected arrangements established by the Livestock Department for the care and treatment of sacrificial animals at both locations.

He reviewed administrative arrangements and monitored measures taken to ensure smooth trading activities ahead of Eid.

Dr.Haidar Ali Khan also checked attendance and performance of deployed staff and inspected veterinary camps set up at the markets.

He reviewed the availability of medicines and treatment facilities for animals brought from different areas.

The director examined anti-tick spray operations and other preventive measures being taken to protect livestock from seasonal diseases and infections.

He expressed satisfaction over the arrangements and appreciated the efforts of veterinary teams for providing healthcare and preventive services to sacrificial animals.

Speaking on the occasion,Dr.Haidar Ali Khan stressed the need to maintain high standards of animal healthcare and directed staff to remain active in the field to facilitate traders and buyers during the Eid season.

He said the Livestock Department was committed to providing timely veterinary support, medicines and preventive care at cattle markets and temporary sale points across the region.
