FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) The Livestock & Dairy Development Department (LDDD) Punjab has finalized special arrangements at cattle markets and sale points across Faisalabad division to provide veterinary facilities and ensure healthy sacrificial animals during Eid-ul-Azha.
LDDD spokesman said that the arrangements were made in the light of special directives issued by the Secretary Livestock Punjab to facilitate citizens and livestock farmers during the Eid days.
Under the supervision of Director Livestock Dr Haidar Ali Khan, special control rooms have been established at divisional and district levels in all four districts of the division, including Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh and Chiniot, he added.
He said that veterinary staff was performing duties round the clock in three shifts at these control rooms to provide timely and effective veterinary services to citizens and livestock owners.
He said that veterinary dispensaries had been established at cattle markets and sale points across the division while tick spray campaigns, fly and mosquito control measures, treatment facilities, first aid and other preventive arrangements were also being ensured.

Meanwhile, all Tehsil Headquarters Civil Veterinary Hospitals across the division have been made temporarily operational on a 24/7 basis during Eid-ul-Azha holidays to tackle emergencies and provide immediate veterinary guidance and treatment to the public.
Director Livestock Dr Haidar Ali Khan appealed the citizens to purchase only healthy, clean and tick-free animals for sacrifice and avoid buying weak or diseased animals.
He urged the public to strictly follow precautionary and safety guidelines issued by the livestock department to protect human and animal health and ensure a safe Eid-ul-Azha.
For public convenience and immediate guidance, the department’s 24/7 toll-free helpline 08000-9211 has also been activated while divisional and district control rooms remain fully functional to provide assistance, awareness and emergency support to citizens, he added.
