Live painting competition held at Arts Council

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th May, 2026) A live painting competition titled “We are mothers, we are sisters, we are daughters – the pride of nations lies in us” was organised by the Department of Information and Culture and Punjab Council of the Arts, Sargodha Division.

Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry attended as the chief guest and appreciated the creative talents of the children. He distributed cash prizes among the students who secured prominent positions in the competition. The first position was awarded Rs. 50,000, the second position was awarded Rs. 30,000, and the third position was awarded Rs. 20,000.

Addressing the children, the Deputy Commissioner said that creative activities play an important role in highlighting the positive thinking, talents and national values ??of the young generation.

He said that women are a symbol of our social values, respect and progress and such programs are an effective means of spreading a positive message in the society. ADCR Ahmed Haroon, Director Punjab Council of the Arts Zaid Iqbal and other officers were also present on the occasion. Bushra Gul, Associate Professor Institute of Art and Design, Muhammad Bashir Haider, Drawing Teacher, and Imran Pasha, Senior Artist, were the judges of the competition. Tableau competition will be held on May 15 at 10 am while elocution competition will be held on May 16 at 10 am.
